How Learning Unlimited Works

The LU program is easy to administer and operate. Students take a level test in math or English. The LU software then allows you to give them an individualized learning prescription so they concentrate only on what they need to learn, not on what they already know. The software keeps track of mastered and non-mastered learning objectives. Below are the steps involved.

Step 1. Register the student using the software.
Step 2. Give student a quick assessment test.
Step 3. Grade test and determine LU level in math and English.
Step 4. Give student LU diagnostic level test. Student takes test and enter answers on sheet .
Step 6. Instructor Aide enters answers from test into computer using easy to use answer input.
Step 7. Instructor or Aide prints out prescription for learning and gives to student.
Optional steps  include printing out test profile and percent and going over  results with the student.
Step 8. Student looks at the prescription and selects curriculum from curriculum bins based on lesson codes on prescription sheet.
Step 9. Student studies lessons, gets individual and group instruction from learning lab instructors or aides.
Step 10. Student then takes a mastery test over each lesson that was studied. Mastery tests are pencil and paper based. If test is passed, student goes on to next lesson on prescription sheet. If not, student ask instructor for help, for additional study material, and when ready another mastery test.
Step 11. Once the mastery tests are all passed for the LU level, student takes another LU diagnostic level test.
Step 12. Student repeats the steps 1-11 until all levels in LU for English and Math are completed. There are levels A-F in English and levels A-G in math.
