Colorado Mountain College (has seven sites on the Western slope of Co.) has used Learning Unlimited for more than 15 years with great success. Over 90% of the students passed the GED test after using this curriculum.
LU Millennium version is also being used in Detroit with the No Children Left Behind Program administered by Children's Alliance for children grades 3-10 in an after school learning program. Compass High School in Phoenix, AZ. uses LU for reaching high school students that have not been successful in the regular classroom.
Students entering college for the first time have also found LU effective in helping them brush up on the basic skills needed to attend college level classes.
English as a Second Language(ESL) Learners experience success with LU as they transition from ESL to college classes.
Students enjoy having their individual learning needs pinpointed, using paper lessons, the availability of one-to-one teaching, and the immediate feedback of the mastery tests.
Experiencing success often, after each lesson, in a non-threatening, self paced environment helps many learners build confidence in their abilities to learn and in particular, take tests. The diagnostic tests set attainable goals for the students and this also helps boost their confidence level which in turn helps to retain them as students.
LU is "tried and true" with over 30 years of success; an easy to use teaching/learning tool that has proven effective and successful for a variety of teachers and learners.
